THANKS to a generous donation of £980 from the Magnox Socio-Economic scheme, the Wotton Community Sports Foundation (WCSF) have been able to install waste and recycling bins on the New Road site, Wotton-under-Edge.

Barnaby Beere, chairman of the WCSF, said "We are really pleased with our new bins, and very grateful for the support provided by the Magnox Socio-Economic scheme.

“The bins will help us to keep our site tidy and to increase the amount of waste we can recycle”.

Berkeley site director, Steve McNally, sai they were committed to mitigating the impact of decommissioning on the communities in which they operate through socio-economic support.

“We are therefore delighted to support WCSF in their efforts to develop and improve this successful community project,” he said.

“Recycling and care of the environment are important to improving sustainability and we are pleased to be part of this."

The new bins are part of a programme of general site works completed over the summer, including new fencing, improvements to drainage and lighting on the pathways.

The all weather and 3G pitches are available for bookings. For more details, contact Sarah Watt 0787-592-6190 or sarahwatt100@yahoo.co.uk.
