A CONSULTATION has been launched to discuss proposals to deter weekday commuter parking in Sundayshill Lane, Falfield.

Councillors highlighted the issue of parking on the road and the Severn Vale Area Forum had provided funds to review the issue and identify proposals for the road just off the A38.

No waiting at any time restrictions are proposed at the junction with the A38 and at the access to Orchard View.

No waiting is proposed on the northern side of the lane between the A38 and the access to Orchard View, and on the southern side between the A38 and the western boundary of 14 Orchard View.

The single yellow lines would operate between 9am and 10am, Monday to Friday and outside of these hours parking would be permitted without restriction.

The scheme should be implemented within this financial year, 2014/2015, but would be subject to sufficient support received at a future formal consultation.
