BRITISH Transport Police (BTP) officers are appealing for information after the theft of a bicycle from a train at Bristol Parkway railway station.

Officers have today released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the theft which took place on Sunday, August 3.

PC Hywel Davies, investigating officer, said: “The victim, a 34-year-old man from Cheltenham, was travelling between Cheltenham and Bristol on board the 1436hrs Worcester – Weston-super-Mare service

“He placed his dark green-coloured extreme stunt bike in the dedicated cycle area on the train but it was taken from the train at Bristol Parkway station shortly before 4pm.

“Enquiries have been ongoing since the theft took place and I am today able to release photographs of a man I would like to identify and speak to as I believe he will have key information about this incident.

“This man travelled on the same train and left the service at Bristol Parkway station.”
