A CONSULTATION has been launched to get public comments ahead of a proposal to introduce a 20mph speed limit around Oldbury-on-Severn Primary School.
The aim is to reduce speeds around the school and on the village approach to the school to make it safer for children and parents who walk to school with limited footway to do so.
The proposed scheme is to introduce a 20mph speed limit on Church Road, Church Hill and Westmarsh Lane, and to install relevant signposts and road markings.
Funding has been allocated by the Severn Vale Area Forum.
Subject to the comments received at consultation and public advertisement, the proposals will be implemented during the 2014-15 financial year.
