TWO fire crews were called to a car towing a horse box on fire near Dyrham Park last night.

It happened at 10.28pm on Thursday (September 4) close to the National Trust property.

Two crews from Bath Fire Station attended the scene and firefighters used two high pressure hose reels to extinguish the blaze.

Avon Fire and Rescue Service spokesman James Bladon said: “There were no reports of any injuries to either the drivers or occupants of the car or any animals being carried at the time.”

The cause of the fire is believed to have been accidental.
