CELEBRATE different cultures at Yate’s international festival this weekend.
The annual festival at Yate Heritage Centre celebrates multiculturalism around the world and in South Gloucestershire itself.
It takes place on Saturday, September 20 (10.30am-4.30pm) and will include a global collection of colourful demonstrations and displays.
David Hardill, community heritage officer at the heritage centre, said: “Join us for our annual fantastic array of international music, dance, culture and food with highlights including Hindu theatre, Chinese dance, Irish folk, contemporary Polish music, Bollywood dance, English folk and some of the best young entertainers in the area.
“There will be Polish and Indian food and a myriad of different workshops including mosaics and Indian sari dressing.
“There really will be something for everyone.”
The event has been funded by Yate, South Gloucestershire and Dodington councils and Yate Rotary Club.
