ENTHUSIASTIC children from Crossways Infant school, in Thornbury, took part in a fun dress up day to coincide with this term’s topic of Native America.

As well as looking the part, the pupils took part in a Bigfoot drama workshop where they were taught some Native American songs as well as some traditional stories and dances.

In the afternoon the children enjoyed themselves as they were taught how to build wigwams.

Year 2 teacher, Mrs Shona Heath, said: “The children have really enjoyed this History topic, particularly the true story of Pochahontas. They have learnt about art, culture and how to care for each other”.
