A DURSLEY garage has been shortlisted for a prestigious award.

Wild Goose Garage, in Kingshill Road, Dursley, has been shortlisted for an award at SuperStation 2014, one of the most prestigious accolades in forecourt retailing.

SuperStation has been developed to recognise and reward the higest standards and is open to all 1,200 Certas Energy-supplied independent petrol retailers across the UK.

The garages are assessed for the awards by a panel of industry specialists. They consider forecourt appearance, product offering, customer service and innovation in business strategy.

The winners will be announced at the SuperStation Gala Awards Dinner which takes place at The Belfry Golf and Leisure Resort, in Sutton Coldfield, on Thursday, October 9.

Wild Goose is one of four forecourts operated by John Stayte Services. Having been a finalist in 2013, it will be hopeful of going one better this year in the Best Pace-branded Forecourt category.

Certas energy retail director Ramsay MacDonald said: “To be nominated for an award is a mark of quality and professionalism.

“There is a tough selection criteria, so Wild Goose Garage has really stood out from the competition.

“Our aim is to drive up standards in petrol retailing and this is a shining example of a forecourt that is setting a benchmark for the industry.”
