FIREFIGHTERS were called to a road traffic accident involving a car and a lorry that were travelling northbound on the M5.

The incident took place yesterday (September, 28) at about 3.15pm between junctions 14 and 13.

Two fire appliances from Wotton-under-Edge and Stroud Community Fire Stations attended the scene.

One female casualty was released by fire crews and handed over to the South Western Ambulance Service where she received treatment at the scene.

Both appliances were kept at the incident for more than an hour.
