A COUPLE who came from the same village in Italy but didn’t meet each other until coming together in Dursley celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this month.
Guiseppe and Maria Troiano celebrated 50 years of marriage on Friday, November 21.
After a short romance of three meetings over a period of four months they were married in Dursley’s St Dominic’s Church on November 21, 1964.
After getting married they raised a family of two boys and a girl and now have five grandchildren.
They are still very much in love and can be seen walking hand in hand to Dursley for shopping trips or to visit friends.
