A MOTHER and daughter from Dursley are to offer a helping hand in a struggling orphanage in Thailand.

Angela Little, 51 and Natasha Little, 24, of Acacia Drive look to start voluntary work in the Pattaya Orphanage this October through charity organisation Fr Ray Foundation.

Alongside other voluntary workers they will be helping local Thai staff care for babies and teach English to older children.

But the pair need to reach a fundraising target of £2000 to make the six-month long trip.

Angela said: "We hope to bring the children some happiness, care and attention - something they don't always get.

"I also hope to speak to some of the street workers out there and see if I can help them improve their lives.

"It's something we've always wanted to do and felt like now was the time to do it. But we do need support from local people before we go."

They are urging people and businesses to give items for a car boot sale and to make donations.
