A CONSULTATION has been launched for members of the public to make comment about proposed changes to bus services from Marshfield to Bristol and Bath.

The consultation was opened on February 10 and will run until Tuesday, March 10 for people to make comment to South Gloucestershire Council.

The proposed changes to the 35 Marshfield to Bristol bus, which operates a two hourly service Monday to Saturday,  involves an amendemnt of offering an express service into Bristol  in the morning/evening peaks with limited stops between the Kingswood and Bristol section of the route and higher frequency service in the inter-peaks between Marshfield and Kingswood.

The proposed changes to the 79 Marshfield to Bath bus, which provides one journey in each direction Monday to Saturday with an additional two journeys on a Friday, is to withdraw the service due to low usage.

The changes would see the council improving the interchange option at Wick for residents of Marshfield and Cold Ashton to connect with the 620 service for onward travel into Bath, and by doing so residents will have more journey opportunities available to them.
