CHIPPING Sodbury visitors were treated to stalls offering all things vintage at its latest Vintage Flea Market while raising over £200 for a children’s charity.

The market, held on Saturday, February 21 raised £238 for Bristol charity The Cots for Tots Appeal, offering 18 vintage and retro stalls to visitors at St John’s Church Centre in the town.

The markets, held over the last three years, have raised nearly £3,500 for the children's charity so far.
Stallholders offered vintage clothing, jewellery, furniture, textiles and more during the all-day event.

Debbie Elliott, 48, from Yate, who organises the market, said: “Saturday was really good, really busy and there was a constant steady flow of people coming in. We are starting to see more regulars coming in which is great too.

“I organise the market with family friend Simon Cole to raise money for Cots for Tots as my daughter Scarlett, who is now 12, was in the Bristol hospital when she was a baby and I have chosen to support them for the past three years.

“The markets have raised nearly £3,500 now and I intend to keep on raising money for them. The next flea market, in May, is set to be the biggest one yet as we will be holding it in St John’s Church where we can have up to 30 stalls and 22 have already booked in a place.”

The next Chipping Sodbury Vintage Flea Market will be held on Saturday, May 23 from 10am till 4pm at St John’s Church, raising money for The Cots for Tots Appeal charity, for the South West region’s Special Care Baby Unit at St Michael’s Hospital in Bristol.
