UK distributor Osprey RIBs Ltd, based at Coaley Mill in Coaley, Gloucestershire, is partnering with Evinrude E-TEC from BRP to fit the new G2 outboard engine on its product line-up.
The move will enable the business to enhance its engine offering for its vessels targeted at recreational and commercial users.
Osprey’s range of RIBs from 5.15m to 8.6m is all hand-built to meet the customer’s exact requirements with options for leisure, diving, commercial or racing.
The Evinrude E-TEC G2 has been manufactured from the ground up to offer the user class-leading performance, from 200 H.O. (Higher Output) to 300R.A.V.E. (Rotax Adjustable Valve Exhaust).
Chris Stevens, director, Osprey RIBs, says, “As a long term Evinrude supplier, Osprey is delighted to be able to offer BRP’s Evinrude E-TEC G2 with our range of RIBs. The G2’s innovation together with the renowned performance of the Osprey hull is going to make a formidable combination and will deliver an outstanding package for our customers.”
Mike Loach, BRP commercial representative UK and Ireland, adds, “We’re delighted to be partnering with Osprey RIBs, which was a major name in RIB racing in the 90s and has a long pedigree for producing high quality products. We are confident that its knowledge and expertise will allow us to increase BRP’s engine market share in the UK.”
