A DURSLEY war veteran was a special guest at a medal ceremony at Richmond Castle.
Jack Johnson, 94, of Rangers Avenue in Dursley, was the guest of honour of his regiment, K Battery Royal Horse Artillery, at Richmond Castle near Catterick.
The ceremony celebrated returning gunners and officers who were deployed to Afghanistan for their tour of duty.
The battery has been deployed for the last eight months which was their final tour of duty. The medals were presented by the Commanding Officer of 5 Regiment RA.
