GLOUCESTERSHIRE Police are appealing to the public for assistance.

Four houses have been burgled in the Tutshill and Sedbury areas. It is thought that these crimes were committed during the evening of Saturday, April 4.

Entry has been forced to all four properties and an untidy search of the rooms has been conducted leaving the houses in a mess. Police suspect a group of at least four males may have committed these crimes. They have predominantly stolen jewellery.

Crimes of this nature are extremely distressing and can have a very negative impact on the victim - many of whom are elderly and vulnerable. Gloucestershire Police are committed to catching and convicting those responsible and reducing these crimes. During the longer days of daylight we appeal to people to be vigilant; to report any suspicious behaviour and to securely protect property. Make sure doors and windows are locked and that the property looks occupied.

Anyone with any information or who can recall seeing anything suspicious, including vehicles in the area on that evening, please do not hesitate to contact police by calling 101 quoting the Crime Ref No. 7559/15 If you have any information regarding burglaries or where we can recover stolen property please don’t hesitate to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101.
