A 24-YEAR-OLD man from Stonehouse is among the four members of the British Royal Navy who have been accused of gang raping a civilian woman at a barracks in Canada.

Craig Stoner, 24, from Stonehouse; Darren Smalley, 35, from Gospor; Joshua Finbow, 23, from Stockbrodge; and Simon Radford, 31, from Lower Gosport, have all been charged with one count of sexual assault causing bodily harm and one count of sexual assault committed with one or more other persons.

The alleged attack is said to have taken place at CFB Shearwater in Nova Scotia late on April 9 or early April 10.

The men were said to have been in Nova Scotia participating in a hockey tournament with local Armed Forces personnel.

They were arrested Thursday morning and are due to appear in court today, Monday.
