A NEW director of quality has been appointed by an NHS trust that provide mental health services across Gloucestershire.

Marie Crofts, a mental health nurse with over 30 years of experience, has been handed the role with 2gether NHS Foundation Trust.

She has worked in adult and children’s services across provider organisations as well as within specialised commissioning throughout her career.

For the majority of her working life Ms Crofts has lived and worked in the West Midlands, working in regional posts and developing evidence-based practice as well as service improvement work within the National Institute of Mental Health in England.

More recently she has worked in service director roles, managing large scale child and adolescent mental health services, at one point serving as deputy director of nursing and operations within a community trust in Liverpool.

“I am delighted and privileged to have been appointed as Director of Quality for 2gether,” she said.

“I am committed to improving services through engagement with service users and their families, as well as actively engaging with all staff.

"I have a passion for involving families in services as well as an interest in parental mental health and child welfare and look forward to continuing these interests and making a difference within 2gether.”

Former director of quality Trish Jay has decided to return to full time clinical practice.
