WORKERS from an iconic Cotswolds printing company got together for a reunion in Wotton-under-Edge.

An informal reunion of more than fifty employees of the former Cotswold Collotype Printing Company and their families was held at The Swan Hotel on Saturday, April 25.

The event was organised by the Wotton-under-Edge Historical Society which is currently exhibiting a display on the history of the company in Wotton Heritage Centre.

The company had its foundations in 1895 by the postcard publishing company Francis Frith in the Bristol Mill, Charfield.

It transferred to the Britannia Mill nestled in the valley towards Holywell and Combe in 1912.

Printing ceased at the site early in the 21st century.

Among the guests were Philip Brooke, former managing director of the company, and Russell Allway, grandson of Charlie Russell, one of the first printers employed by the company in 1895.

The exhibition can be seen at the heritage centre over the next two months which is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in the morning and afternoon, and Saturday mornings.
