AT 2.14pm yesterday Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service received a call to a house on fire on The High Street Kempsford near Fairford.
One appliance from Fairford fire Station, one appliance from Stratton fire station and one appliance from Cricklade fire station was mobilised to the incident with a total of 15 firefighters.
At 3.09pm a fourth appliance was requested for further breathing apparatus which was mobilised from Cirencester Fire station with a further 5 firefighters.
The roof and first floor were damaged by fire and the crews used one jet, three hosereels and 10 breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.
Appliances were detained at the scene a total of three and a half hours dealing with the incident.
