VOLUNTEERS are sought to help maintain Thornbury Community Garden.

Members of the garden committee are looking for people to volunteer with gardening work as well as various projects.

Secretary of the committee, Jenny Ovens, said: “Thornbury Community Garden is tucked away alongside Turnberrie's Centre - everyone who knows it says it is a lovely, peaceful, well kept garden where it is possible to get away from it all.

“The gates can be secured and so little children can play without the danger of them getting out into the road.

“To keep the garden looking nice our small team works hard. We would very much like others to join us to ensure we keep the garden looking good and to give us some time to sit back and enjoy it.

“There is always gardening work to do as well as various projects.

"If you would like to help we would be more than delighted to welcome you.”
