A COMMUNITY organisation in Dursley will host a popular rhythm and blues band for an evening of musical entertainment.

Lister Hall at the Chantry Centre in Dursley is delighted to be playing host to one of the most popular rhythm and blues and soul show bands in the South West – Kick the Cat – on Saturday, September 5.

Kick The Cat is an eight-piece band playing a fantastic mix of soul, rhythm and blues, disco, Motown and funk, and are particularly well known for their tribute to the Blues Brothers.

The event has been organised by award-winning community organisation World Jungle with the aim of raising money to support a variety of community projects for children, young people and adults across the Cam and Dursley area.

Jane Manning from World Jungle said: “It is fantastic to welcome this fabulous and highly entertaining band back to Dursley. This promises to be a great night out and raising money for a good cause too.

“All proceeds from the evening will go towards World Jungle being able to deliver a series of community ‘Fun Day’ events supporting children and families in our local area.”

Doors open at 8.00pm. Tickets are £10 and are available in advance from The Chantry Centre in Long Street or online at: www.worldjungle.org.uk.
