THE deadline to submit nominations for awards celebrating the achievements of young people in Gloucestershire has been extended.
The Grow Gloucestershire Showcase awards will be held at Cheltenham Racecourse on Tuesday, October 20, and will celebrate young people who have kick-started their careers through work placements, internships and apprenticeships.
Tomorrow is the final day in which you can nominate a person, school or business you know for one of the awards.
The event will also recognise the businesses, schools and individuals who have played their part in the development of the nominees.
The awards also give companies the chance to spread the word about what they’re doing to help young people develop skills and support a strong workforce for Gloucestershire.
Cllr Mark Hawthorne, leader of Gloucestershire County Council, said: "We want to give as many people as possible the chance to get their nominations in for this year’s awards.
“I continue to be impressed by the commitment and dedication of the young people I’ve met and the organisations supporting them and hope that this year’s awards will be bigger and better than before.”
