MAKE the most of the last days of summer with an outdoor Shakespeare performance in Woodchester.
Touring theatre company the Festival Players will stage their latest production at Woodchester Mansion on August 27.
Celebrating their 30th year on the road, the players will perform Shakespeare’s As You Like It amid the atmospheric architecture of the unfinished gothic mansion, near Stroud.
The two hour show, that starts at 6.30pm, promises to be the Players’ usual high energy, colourfully costumed delight.
Their all-male cast of six will play multiple roles that will demand quick changes in a drama of love, betrayal and mistaken identity.
Music for As You Like It was specially written by Nailsworth based folk star Johnny Coppin.
