HUNDREDS of walkers stepped out together at Badminton House to raise money for Marie Curie.

The 10km Walk to Remember, which was one of a series of walks taking place around the UK this summer, is expected to raise thousands of pounds for the charity.

The event, on Saturday (August 15), saw people from all walks of life join together to complete the 10km course.

After completing the walk, walkers enjoyed live music, fireworks and picnics to celebrate the work of Marie Curie and took time to reflect on memories with loved ones past and present.

Natalie Garland, community fundraiser for Bristol at Marie Curie, said: “The Walk to Remember event at Badminton was a great success, and we’d like to thank everyone that came down.

“There was a wonderful atmosphere throughout the evening and all the money raised will help Marie Curie provide expert care, guidance and support to help people living with a terminal illness get the most from the time they have with loved ones.”
