THREE arrests have been made following the death of a man during the early hours of Sunday morning (August 23)

A 22-year-old man, a 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old man were arrested earlier today on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody.

Police were called to the vicinity of the All Nations Community Centre, Chase Road, Gloucester at 3.23am on August 23 where a seriously injured man was found in the car park.  Despite emergency first aid given at the scene by paramedics and police officers the man died later in Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

A second man, also seriously injured, was taken to GRH by ambulance and he underwent surgery for injuries he sustained.  His condition is now stable.

A third man received treatment for minor injuries.

Senior investigating officer, detective chief inspector, Steve Porter said: “These arrests are the result of around-the-clock investigations by our officers to find out the exact circumstances of the man’s death. 

"This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends. Our family liaison officers are in constant contact with the family to support them at this difficult time.

“We understand that although unusual violent incidents resulting in death and serious injury create anxiety and concern throughout the community.  However, incidents such as these are rare and Gloucestershire police are determined to bring offenders to justice.

"We continue to ask that any person with any information as to what happened during the night to come forward.”
