Two people arrested in connection with a fatal fail to stop collision in Bristol have been released on bail.
A 39-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man, who were both arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, have been bailed until September 9.
They were arrested after the body of a 25-year-old man was found in Gordon Road, Clifton at around 6.45am on Saturday (August 29). Police believe the collision happened between 4.30am and 5.30am.
A post-mortem examination carried out on sunday concluded the man died from multiple injuries consistent with being involved in a road traffic collision.
A formal identification procedure is yet to take place.
A car was recovered in Bristol which we believe is linked to this incident. It will undergo a full forensic examination as part of the ongoing inquiry.
