AN aerial video shot by a local videographer gives a bird's eye view of the cinema development under construction in Yate.
Andy Davis, a photography enthusiast from Yate, took the pictures of the £25million Yate Riverside scheme being built on Link Road using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or drone.
Mr Davis, who describes himself as a hobbyist of flying UAVs and does photography and cinematography as a hobby, took five minutes to capture the entire development which will feature a six-screen Cineworld cinema and six restaurants and shops.
"It's great fun and developments are always good to film over a time," said Mr Davis, who holds a remote pilot qualification.
The cinema will be completed in time for spring next year whilst the shops and restaurants, to include a Frankie and Benny's, Prezoo, Dean's Diner, a Pets at Home and a Next store, are expected to open before Christmas.
Yate Shopping Centre, whose owners Crestbridge Corporate Trustess are funding the development, announced this week that the Next store would be opening in December 2015.
