A BEAUTICIAN is holding a make-up marathon to help Syrian refugees.
Tracy Deb, from Bradley Stoke, is organising a 12-hour fundraising event when people can enjoy a 20-minute makeover for £10.
The Paint a Smile event will take place on Saturday, October 24 (8am-8pm) at Christ the King Church in Bradley Stoke. All funds raised will go the British Red Cross Syria appeal.
Tracy, a bridal make-up artist, said: “The Syrian refugee crisis going on at the moment is so horrific and tragic and I have found some of the images so upsetting. It’s so awful and heart breaking the way these people are being treated.
“As a well-known make-up artist I would like offer my skills and services and donate all the time and money I can into this worthy cause.”
She added: “For me personally this endeavour is not politically, racially or religiously motivated but purely humanitarian. I am trying to reach out to desperately needy people and the way I approach the situation is, what would it be like if I myself was in this dire situation?”
There will also be a raffle and refreshments on offer. To book a mini makeover or to donate a raffle prize contact Tracy Deb on 07871 839173 or email tracydebmakeup@gmail.com
