POLICE are searching for two people in connection with a serious sexual assault on a 63-year-old man.

Officers investigating the assault, on Tuesday, September 1, have released CCTV images of a man they want to identify in connection with the attack.

The victim, a 63-year-old man, was in the Bristol Sports Bar (BSB) on the Waterfront in Bristol during the evening of September 1.

While in the bar, he began talking to a man and a woman.

At about 10pm he left the bar with the man and they went by taxi to an unknown property in the Bedminster area of Bristol. While in this property, the man was subjected to a serious sexual assault.

He reported this incident to police in the early hours of the following morning.

Investigating officer Det Sgt Dave Lewis said: “The victim was left traumatised by this incident and he was taken to The Bridge Sexual Assault Referral Centre to receive medical care and emotional support.

“We’ve reviewed CCTV as part of our inquiry and have released images of a man we’d like to speak to. We’ve also released a CCTV still of a woman we believe may have vital information for us.

“Do you know the man in the CCTV images? Were you in the BSB bar last Tuesday between 4pm and 10pm?

“If you can help, please call the 24-hour police enquiry centre on 101 and quote reference 96710/15.”
