SPORTS teams of a Cam primary school will be looking better than ever thanks to a generous donation from a Dursley-based estate agent.

A new multi-sport kit has been funded by Bennett Jones and it was received by pupils at Cam Everlands Primary School last Wednesday (September 23).

It was purchased thanks in part to a significant support from Bennett Jones but also from the School Association, a group of parents who organise fundraisers for the school to help purchase new equipment, so far this year they have helped fund a new climbing wall and a puppet theatre.

The school’s headteacher, Craig Jones, said that sport was an important part of school life: “The school has a long history of being very competitive with sport in the area.

“We value the benefit sport has on the health and wellbeing of our children with children of all ages representing the school at cross-country, archery, cricket, rugby, football, hockey and athletics.

“Our children are proud of the school and a new sports kit adds to this pride and the feel good factor when playing against other schools.

“We feel extremely fortunate and thankful to John Ashton from Bennett Jones, Mike Bennett himself and the School Association for contributing significantly to the funding of the Cam Everlands’ new sports kits.”
