THE CrazyBird Comedy Club is returning to the Lansdown Hall in Stroud on Saturday for another fantastic night of fun.

Resident MC Geoff Whiting - “…a master of the ‘That’s so true’ type of humour. He ad-libbed brilliantly and hooked the audience” (Evening Standard) - will once again be hosting the event.

First on the bill is London Comedy Store regular Dave Thompson.

“Dave Thompson astonishes with his lanky eccentricities…talented and always amusing”. (Time Out magazine).

Dave has performed stand-up comedy all over the world, warmed up audiences for Harry Hill and Al Murray and was even Tinky Winky from the TeleTubbies for 71 episodes Next is Paul Martin, who has been entertaining audiences with his unique brand of close up and comedy cabaret magic for the last 15 years.

And fresh from receiving five star rave reviews from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Cornish comedian Matt Price will be closing the show.

“… Price is a terrific comedian and a wonderful storyteller” (The Scotsman).

Matt is a skilled and in demand comedian at weekend comedy clubs including Glee and Komedia, and his versatility has made him a popular choice as national tour support for acts such as Stephen K Amos and Norman Lovett. To have him headline this comedy night is a real coup for Stroud.

The CrazyBird Comedy Club is also keen to showcase talented local comedians who are taking their first steps in the industry. This month, Gavin Pond, who hails from Nailsworth will be treating the club to his special style of stand up, mixing songs and story based anecdotes.

The doors and bar open at 7pm, show starts at 8.15pm.
