A NEW Mothercare store is to open at Cribbs Causeway Retail Park.

The baby and children’s chain signed a unit of 20,000 sq ft on a ten-year lease.

The new store, which will also house an Early Learning Centre toyshop, will trade alongside Next Home and Garden, Smyths Toys, Currys PC World and Argos.

The store is the latest in a series of new concept stores to be launched by the retailer’s chief executive Mark Newton-Jones.

It will be designed to provide a calm environment and stress-free shopping experience through the introduction of in-store cafes, soft play areas and the incorporation of the newly designed Early Learning Centre toy shops.

Stephen Gwilliam, director of asset management and leasing at M&G Real Estate, said: “The fact that Cribbs Causeway Retail Park is now fully let is testament to Cribbs Causeway’s strength as a retail destination – with both the retail park and The Mall at Cribbs Causeway combining providing a diverse and extensive shopping experience for customers and a key location for retailers.”
