TWO men have been arrested, with one of them being subsequently charged, following a pursuit through the centre of Cheltenham.
At around 2.20pm on Tuesday, October 6, a Subaru Impreza failed to stop for police near Bath Road. A short high speed pursuit commenced, resulting in the Subaru coming to a stop near Sandford Road. One man was arrested at the scene. Another made off from officers on foot, but was located and arrested nearby shortly afterwards.
Curt Lodge, aged 29, of Princess Elizabeth Way in Cheltenham was arrested and subsequently charged with four drug offences, dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and two other driving offences. He has been remanded in custody until Thursday 22 October to appear at Gloucester Crown Court for sentencing, after pleading guilty to all offences at a previous hearing.
A 23-year-old man from Cheltenham was arrested and released on bail until Thursday 26 November pending further enquiries.
