OVER 100 students in Alveston are preparing to take to the stage to perform a musical hit.
Marlwood School students are rehearsing for their December performances of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, including the cast, crew, orchestra and Samba band.
Marlwood Theatrical Services (MTS), a school-led community service based at the heart of the school, has designed and produced the technicolour coat ready for the performances.
Becky Ferguson, faculty progress leader, said: “We are excited and delighted to be producing the fantastic and popular musical show Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
“Pupils of ages have thrown themselves in to create the vibrant energy needed for this celebration of talent. Pupils are responsible for all areas of the smooth running front and back stage.
“Ex-pupils working in the theatre and performing arts industries return to offer expert advice and coaching as well as local graphic artist who is coaching pupils in marketing and promotion of their show.”
The performances will take place on December 16 and 17 at the school.
