THE fire service in Gloucestershire is visiting communities as part of its operational response consultation.
Residents are invited to attend an event near them for the opportunity to give their views about the current proposals out for public consultation on operational recommendations made by the fire service.
The consultation began on October 1 and runs until Monday, January 4, next year, with local events taking place this month.
The service is asking what people think about proposals for how prevention, protection and response may be delivered to the Painswick area, and changes to the way fire engines are staffed at Cirencester fire station.
Staff will be on hand to answer questions and to talk through the proposals.
The consultation is available online at www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/consultglosfire with events taking place as follows:
• Monday 16th November from 3pm to 8pm at The Pavillion, Hatherley Lane, Cheltenham, GL51 6PN
• Tuesday 17th November from 3pm to 8pm at Painswick Town Hall, Victoria Square, Painswick, GL6 6QA
• Wednesday 18th November from 3pm to 8pm at Oxstalls Indoor Tennis Centre, Plock Court, Gloucester, GL2 9DW
• Thursday 19th November from 3pm to 8pm at Tewkesbury Town Hall, High Street, Tewkesbury, GL20 5AL
• Monday 23rd November from 3pm to 8pm at The Main Place, Old Station Way, Coleford, GL16 8RH
• Thursday 26th November from 3pm to 8pm at Subscription Rooms, George Street, Stroud, GL5 1AE
• Friday 27th November from 3pm to 8pm at The Churn Project, The Waterloo, Cirencester, GL7 2PY
