THE fire service in Gloucestershire is visiting communities as part of its operational response consultation.

Residents are invited to attend an event near them for the opportunity to give their views about the current proposals out for public consultation on operational recommendations made by the fire service.

The consultation began on October 1 and runs until Monday, January 4, next year, with local events taking place this month.

The service is asking what people think about proposals for how prevention, protection and response may be delivered to the Painswick area, and changes to the way fire engines are staffed at Cirencester fire station.

Staff will be on hand to answer questions and to talk through the proposals.
