SUPERMARKET customers in Yate are being urged to be vigilant after a shopper had her bank cards stolen and hundreds of pounds taken from her account.
The victim had £800 stolen from her account after parking in Morrisons in Yate. A man, posing as a mechanic, approached her on Wednesday, November 25, and pointed out some wires hanging down on her vehicle.
He offered to take a look and while he got the woman to open her car bonnet, a second person stole her bank cards from inside the car.
The woman, a customer of Chipping Sodbury Motor Company, then had £800 taken from her bank account.
In a post on Chipping Sodbury Motor Company's Facebook page, the firm said: "Morrisons and the police have been informed but please share this around to raise awareness."
