AN APPEAL has been made to help find a missing puppy whose owner has died.

Stroud District Council animal welfare service is appealing for help to find Bella, who was last seen at around 1.30pm on Tuesday at Lye Farm, Uley.

After the appeal was launched on Wednesday, residents have been out searching for Bella in groups but they have yet to find her and there have been no sightings since Tuesday.

The appeal has been shared more than 1,500 times, reaching around 96,500 people.

A spokesman from SDC animal welfare service said: "Her owner has recently passed away so the number on her tag does not work.

"We really need to get this baby home, her family have been through enough."

The farmer has asked that anyone out looking for Bella does not enter the private farm land.

Anyone who sees Bella should contact the animal welfare service on 01453 754492 or Dog Lost on 08448003220.
