FIREFIGHTERS help one person from their vehicle after a pile-up on the M4.
Crews from Temple, Southmead, Patchway and Avonmouth were called to the westbound carriageway of the motorway yesterday (January 2) between Junctions 20 (M32) and 19 (M5, Almondsbury Interchange) where three cars had crashed.
Avon Fire and Rescue Service arrived at the scene at 11.30am to find one car on its side.
"One person was assisted from their vehicle and then we helped clear the scene," said a spokesman.
It is not believed anyone was seriously injured in the accident.
The M4 was closed to all traffic after the accident, causing lengthy delays in the region.
