PLANS to convert land in Severn Beach from industrial use to residential will be discussed during a public exhibition next week.
Severnside landowner Delta Properties will be hosting the event at Severn Beach Village Hall on Friday, February 5 to hear from residents about how the 15 hectare of land near the village should be used to provide new homes instead of warehousing.
Michael Shebson from Delta Properties said: “Although planning permission already exists for employment uses on this parcel of land, we feel that new homes would be a more sensitive use for this site considering its proximity to existing residents.
“New homes and investment in community facilities would be of more benefit to the community than additional industrial and warehousing on this specific site.
“As part of our commitment to community engagement, we would like to invite residents to our public exhibition to meet our team, hear our plans, then provide us with early feedback on our ideas before we prepare and submit a planning application.”
The event will take place between 3pm and 7pm on Friday, February 5. Residents can find out more information via the Freephone information line number on 0800 298 7040 or email feedback@consultationonline.co.uk.
