A SECOND accident in as many days on the A38 resulted in the closure of a section of the road while emergency services attended to the scene.
Reports came in at 8.05am of a collision between two vehicles leaving a man trapped in his car.
Police closed the northbound stretch of the road in Falfield just north of the M5 junction while firefighters cut the trapped driver from his vehicle, before he was taken to hospital.
During the cleanup, traffic coming northbound off the M5 was redirected back onto the motorway towards junction 13.
A police spokesman confirmed that the road was reopened to traffic at around 9am.
