Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and Miserable Malcolm and Uta Baldauf are offering you the opportunity to get the disappointment over early by coming to a special night devoted entirely to heartbreak. Stroud’s most miserable poet, Malcolm, will be hosting an Open Mic’ session for people to come and share their poems and true stories of romantic disaster and unrequited agonies.
People who’d like to read excerpts from their teenage diaries or even sing sad songs are also very welcome.
There will also be music, a melancholic performance by Uta Baldauf and, as it is a John Street Social Club night, plentiful opportunities to mingle with other disappointed souls.
“Unlucky in Love – a pre-Valentine’s Night of Woe” takes place at Stroud Valleys Artspace on Friday 12th February. The night starts at 8pm and is free (£1 membership).
