DASH cam footage posted on social media shows the incredible moment a driver narrowly avoided hitting a dog in Cam - but despite his lucky escape, concern is growing for the lost mutt.
The driver in the video, Jason MacNeaney, can be seen moving along Cam High Street when, towards the end of the video, a black cocker spaniel emerges without warning from between two parked cars.
The footage shows Mr MacNeaney's lightening fast reactions as he quickly steers to the right to avoid hitting the animal.
Mr MacNeaney believes the dog connected with his passenger door but it appeared to be okay as it disappeared into Courthouse Gardens.
Despite attempts by Mr MacNeaney and a passerby who witnessed the incident, the dog was nowhere to be seen.
The dog is reportedly called Darcy and a number of people on Facebook have offerred help in tracking her down.
