TWO 19-year-old men have been arrested in connection with a burglary in Emersons Green.

The arrests follow the release of CCTV footage of three men burgling a house on Guest Avenue, while the residents slept upstairs.

Both men, of the Brislington and Easton areas of Bristol, were arrested this morning on suspicion of burglary and are currently in police custody.

The house on Guest Avenue was broken into at 3am on Friday, March 25.

Investigating officer PC Simon McFall said: “The public responded fantastically to our appeal and it is because of the information the rang in with that we have made these two arrests.

“We never underestimate the importance of community intelligence and we recognise how vital the public’s support is in helping us keep the communities of Avon and Somerset safe and to bringing criminals to justice.”

Officers have reminded residents that if they see anyone acting suspiciously in their neighbourhood, or believe a burglary is in progress, they should call 999.

If a burglary has already occurred, it can be reported online or by calling 101.
