A MAN has been charged with attempted murder after an incident at a pub in Gloucester.
Scott Hoare, aged 45, of Worcester Street in Gloucester, has been charged with attempted murder, ABH, common assault and possessing a bladed article in a public place.
The charges are in relation to an incident which occurred in the Royal Oak on Hucclecote Road at around 9.40pm on Friday 22 April. A 32-year-old man sustained serious injuries to his head and ear caused by a machete. He was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and has since been discharged. His injuries are not life threatening.
Others also sustained minor injuries whilst attempting to stop the incident.
Hoare was remanded in custody and will appear at Cheltenham Magistrates Court today (Monday 25 April).
