A DANCE school, which holds classes in Thornbury, Alveston and Patchway, is celebrating the success of a three-day series of shows after raising £4,000 for charity.
Over 200 students from The Sharon Phillips School of Dancing, from two-and-a-half years old to 18, took part in the five performances at the Olympus Theatre in Stoke Gifford, from March 29-31.
With each show selling out quickly, around 1,100 people enjoyed the spectacle.
The school, which teaches children tap, modern and ballet dancing, raised the money for charity CICRA, which supports children and young adults with Crohn’s disease and Colitis.
“We are so proud of all the girls and boys that took part,” said Sharon Phillips following the event.
“The performances were a huge success, everyone has worked so hard and it is great to see the effort has paid off.
“But the work doesn’t end here. We are now preparing about 85 of the students for their ballet and tap exams in July and will also be taking part in this year’s ‘Tapathon’ in November to try and break a world record, and raise money for Children in Need.”
The school, which teaches those wanting to learn to dance, from 18-months-old to adults. For more information search “Sharon Phillips School of Dancing” on Facebook, or call Sharon on 07989 652780.
