A 14-year-old boy remains in a critical condition in hospital after a collision in Wanswell, Berkeley.

The boy, from Berkeley, was on a bike when he was in collision with a Volkswagen Polo under the railway bridge on Station Road at around 7.35pm yesterday, Friday May 20.

He was airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol and remains there in a life-threatening condition.

Police told the Gazette this afternoon there was no change in the boy's condition.

No one else was injured.

The road was closed while a collision investigation took place and reopened just after 12.30am today, Saturday May 21.
