FOLLOWERS of the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School's productions will be delighted to know that Thornbury's Armstrong Hall is included in their West Country Tour.

This familiar and much loved tale features some of Shakepeare's most dazzling dramatic poetry set within this teasing, hilarious and inventive play whose seriousness is only fleetingly glimpsed beneath its dreamlike surface.

A great chance to celebrate the 400th Anniversary of the poet's death in Thornbury, at mid-Summer, this terrific ensemble production will feature some of the stage stars of the future.

A special art show on the theme of mid Summer and The Dream will make the theatre production extra special with an exhibition in the Cossham Hall by individuals and groups of Thonbury's talented artists to accompany the play in the Armstrong Hall.

Come and appreciate the imagination and skill of our local artists ( buy if you like!) before the play on Saturday, June 18 from 2pm to 7pm and during the interval of the production, and then again on Sunday, June 19 from 10am to 4pm in the afternoon.

A joint celebration of Shakespeare, mid-Summer, local inspiration and expertise at this free extra special exhibition.

The production is part of the fund raising for the Armstrong Hall Redevelopment Project ( Phase 1) on Saturday, June 18 at 7.30pm in the Armstrong Hall. Tickets at £13 each (under 16s £10), can be obtained from Thornbury Town Hall or by phoning 01454 412272.
