Police urge Dursley residents to ensure doors are locked this summer following reports of opportunistic thieves in the area
POLICE are still seeking witnesses after a would-be burglar walked into a Dursley home through an unlocked door.
The attempted burglary occurred in School Road shortly after 10pm on Sunday, June 12.
A householder heard their back door open and saw the back of the intruder as they ran outside and climbed over a fence to get away.
On this occasion nothing was taken, but police have urged householders to ensure their doors are locked throughout the summer following a series of similar incidents in the past few weeks.
