A POP-up shop in Yate has extended its stay in the town for the rest of the year.

The Home Crafters Shop, in Yate Shopping Centre, opened at Easter for a three-month stay but events and regular workshops have been so well received it will now remain open until Christmas.

Kirsty Bevan, who founded the business which also runs an online website, said: “The pop-up shop is going really well, so much so that we have been granted an extension and will be staying here until Christmas.

“During our stay here, we have been running regular craft workshops for adults and children, as well as increasing our supply of arts and crafts materials, which sit very happily next to our wonderful displays of handmade products by our community of crafters.”

The shop, on North Walk, will relaunch in August ready for the school summer holidays.

Added Kirsty: “From August we relaunch our space with a new, revamped cosy corner for our craft workshops, a full calendar of events for children to get involved with in the summer holidays, an even wider range of craft supplies and even more handmade, crafted gifts, home décor and jewellery by our local artists.”
